Born in New York, Caitlin has called California home since her early-twenties—and in the space between, she has traveled to thirty-eight countries. After graduating from Northeastern Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Cultural Anthropology, Psychology and Political Science, Caitlin went on to work in vineyards from Australia and South Africa to Northern Italy and Bordeaux. She was certified through the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2015, and she is waiting on WSET Level-3 results. Having worked in food and wine for more than a dozen years, Caitlin’s most recent position was as Sommelier for Thomas Keller’s Bouchon in Yountville. While her love of wine is vast and varied, her specific proclivities lean toward blanc de blancs Champagne, Chassagne-Montrachet, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and properly-made tequila.
When she’s not working, or traveling—Caitlin’s passions include exploring new restaurants, hiking, biking, photography, animals and dance. Among her favorite places around the globe are Cathedral Cove on the north island of New Zealand, the wilderness of the Drakensberg outside of Kruger National Park, and the rainforest of Ecuador and Peru.
