Wine Advisor and Writer
The son of a chef, Wyatt grew up in kitchens and restaurants, often ridiculed by his schoolmates for the contents of his lunchbox. In an act of defiance, he began collecting wine at a young age. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, he went on to weather posts as a wine & spirits writer, magazine editor, internet entrepreneur, and entertainment executive. In 1998, he and his partners purchased and revamped the two-decade old, Underground Wine Journal, launching it internationally. Wyatt has had the pleasure of helping build collections around the US and abroad; he has organized wine and food events and judged international competitions. He co-founded undergroundwineletter.com, and he is a contributing editor to the Los Angeles Times Magazine, where he writes about spirits, cocktails and food. His work has also appeared in Robb Report, Fortune and the Washington Post.
